The American Escrow Association, formed in 1980, prides itself on being the representative of its member states and individual members in the escrow and settlement industry. Our goals are to further the education and professionalism of the escrow industry as a whole and to proactively work on the behalf of all settlement agents throughout the country by building awareness of the important role we play in the settlement process and by addressing the common issues that affect the entire settlement industry, no matter what particular settlement practice you may be engaged in.
Our Policy Advisor monitors and provides current legislative and regulatory matters regarding changes to laws and regulations available to our members online.  He and the Board of Directors meet with the leadership of related industry trade associations to address issues that affect the entire settlement industry.  We also explore opportunities for exchange of information and education forums, including our webinars and Annual Education Conference.   We are proud of the national presence AEA continues to provide its members. The collective voice of the settlement agents could not be heard more clearly than through the American Escrow Association.
AEA’s goals are to further the knowledge and professionalism of the settlement through education and to educate and advise decision-makers in the federal government on issues of consequence to the settlement industry.

NOTE: Individuals residing in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington should contact their respective state escrow association for membership information. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Any professional in the industry, or related industries, whose place of business is located within a STATE without a chartered STATE ASSOCIATION, may be entitled to benefits of membership in THE ASSOCIATION upon approval by the Membership Committee. Such membership shall not hold office, but may serve on standing or special committees. Said membership shall be designated as ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP.  Upon approval by the Membership Committee, ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP may also be provided to any professional in the industry, or related industries,
who had been a member in good standing of a STATE ASSOCIATION whose charter has been revoked, cancelled, or suspended.

PROVISIONAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (Initial membership – enter coupon code as FirstYearAssociate)
Any professional in the industry, or related industries, whose place of business is located in a STATE without a state-chartered STATE ASSOCIATION, may be entitled to limited benefits of membership in THE ASSOCIATION upon approval by the Membership Committee. Benefits may include receiving informative e-mails, eNews, and membership discounts for webinars hosted by THE ASSOCIATION.  Said membership shall not hold office, but may serve on standing or special committees, but may not serve as a committee chair. This type of membership is available for one year only, for a person who has not been a member for the immediate preceding three (3) years.  Said membership shall be designated as PROVISIONAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP.  Upon approval by the Membership Committee, PROVISIONAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP may also be  provided to any professional in the industry or related industries, who had been a member in good standing of a STATE ASSOCIATION whose charter has been revoked, cancelled, or suspended.
